MMORPGs can be very addicting especially at a younger age. I used to be very addicted to final fantasy xi, i would play it for hours and hours and never be tired of it, this was when I was about 16 years old. I'm 20 years old now and I recently tried to get back into it, couldn't pay attention for more than 10 minutes lol.
I know people that will play 24/7 non stop, maybe a few hours of sleep and a few coffee breaks. They'll even give their phone numbers to linkshell(clan) members so if the person isn't present they'll call him/her and ask where they are.
it's sad really.

I know what ya mean bro. I used to be addicted to this game and I quit the game for about a year and just recently I've played it again. But now I got limits I only play when it's boring during the summer but when school comes, I'm going to quit playing for good. I'm pretty sure the game you have in mind is runescape cause it's a VERY addictive game and yes thats the game I used to play like crazy. Just simply give your password to a complete stranger that you know that plays the game and that will pretty much stop it. I sold my accounts that I've had for 2 years for over $120 and I still sell other accounts I have and some my friends gave me. So thats also a good idea try selling them. Good luck!

I don't know why it's so addicting but I was addicted to it myself for a few years.
eventually i cut off my internet access and went cold turkey, it was hard but I got through it.
I suggest you move your PC into a family room, get it out of the bedroom where you'll always be tempted.
the hard part is if you're like me, all your friends are online too, so it's harder to quit, try to organise a day with them outside of the house, like to the movies or go paintballing.
if you really do want to quit talk to your parents about it, they'll be able to help you too.
try chaning your net access to dialup speeds, that'll put a choke on online gaming
