For every game like this you need a good video card i had a game called Everquest and i was playing it with a 512 mem card i had to upgrade to atleast 2 gigs to play it again so for these games YES you do need atleast 2 to 4 gigs memory.Dont listen to crossedfaith he is wrong.Playing these kind of games you do need the most out of your memory if possible and dont you all dare thumbs down me cause i am right.

You need 3 types of people to create a game:
1) A programmer who can write the game code and do all the technical things.
2) An artist who can make the 3D models using a 3D modelling program and design all the characters and enemies.
3) A manager who can work out what needs doing when and make sure the project stays on schedule. They need to organise everything and sort out things like marketing.

if you have a firewall try turning it off when u patch and same with anti-virus, they block stuff like that all the time even with windows update. if that doesnt work message me any time and i will provide help anyway i can and i hope your issues are solved.
